Pendulating Meditation/ Orienting- a meditation for when the body is a hard place to be

By request, I finally figured out how to get this up! Yay!

This is a meditation technique that can be especially helpful when bringing attention to the body is both challenging and potentially beneficial, as when experiencing symptoms of trauma, pain, anxiety, depression, or lack of sensation. Because yoga’s healing power is in reconnecting the mind and body, but sometimes bringing attention to the body can be triggering or difficult, here we use the physical details of your physical space and time/ present environment interwoven with whatever amount of body awareness feels right for today. As we “pendulate” between these places, we create a relationship with present space and time that can help you come back to a place of feeling enough safety to regulate.

This meditation is not meant to treat or diagnose a medical and/ or mental health condition.
